The Schneider M1917 was developed in France as a large-caliber gun for destroying German trenches in World War I. It went into production in 1916, and was used in many battles; it continued to be used in various countries after World War I. The type licensed in the United States was called M1918 with some improvements. It was adopted as the main gun of the U.S. military until its successor, the M1 howitzer, was adopted in 1941. It was also exported and used for many years by many countries.
This model kit from FTF comes with a booklet featuring many photos of real-life examples of this gun! Text is in Polish.
