Weekend edition kit of British WWII fighter aircraft Spitfre F Mk.IX in 1/48 scale.
The Supermarine Spitfire is probably the most famous British fighter from World War II. It was an all-metal machine with a low wing configuration, characteristic elliptical wings, a classic tail and a landing gear that retracted during flight. The flight of the prototype took place on March 5, 1936.
The Spitfire proved to be the RAF’s primary machine during the war, and it continued to survive, remaining in production for 10 years.
