The Sonderkraftfahrzeug 6 (Sd.Kfz.6) was one in a series of tractors built for the German army during the late 1930s.
Originally designed to attract artillery, it was used for a wide range of roles. The vehicle weighed 9 tons and had a capacity of 5 tons, and was widely used for towing the 10.5 cm leFH howitzer. Later in the war, anti- aircraft guns were placed in the cargo space on a number of vehicles, such as the 3.7 cm Flak 36. This conversion was called 3.7 cm Flak.36 on Selbstfahrlaffette SdKfz.6 / 2, of which 339 between 1941 and 1943 were built. All these versions were delivered to the Luftwaffe mobile anti-aircraft units, where they replaced the Sd.Kfz.7 / 2.
