Sd.Kfz.6 (German: Sonderkraftfahrzeug 6) was a German half-track transporter from World War II. The first prototypes were created in 1934, and serial production lasted in 1939-1944, ending with the production of approximately 3,500 copies of this vehicle. The drive was provided by a single Maybach HL 54TUKRM engine with 100 hp. Sd.Kfz car . In the standard version 6, it did not have permanent weaponry.
The design work on Sd.Kfz.6 started at Bussing-NAG already in 1934, but due to the continuous improvement of the construction, it lasted until 1939, when the vehicle entered series production. It served primarily as an artillery tractor with a towing power of up to 5 tons and was often used to transport light leub H18 howitzers 105 mm. In addition to the basic version (Sd.Kfz.6), three developmental versions of the vehicle were created. The first of these was the Sd.Kfz.6 / 1 model, which was an improved artillery tractor. Then came the version of Sd.Kfz.6 / 2, which was an anti-aircraft version armed with a 37 mm FlaK36 cannon. The last version was Sd.Kfz.6 / 3, meaning tank destroyer armed with a captured F-22 gun 76.2 mm. Cars Sd.Kfz. 6 were used on all fronts of World War II in the period 1939-1945.
